"As Needed Reader"

I never been an avid reader who constantly read, however, I must say that I fell somewhere in the middle. Whenever I go to the library to complete an assignment I would look for a book that I find interest in and take it home and read it. My sister was a avid reader sometimes she would tell me about a good book and I would read it. Throughout the years my love for reading have changed. Well, I would not say that the love for reading have changed. I would just say that I no longer fall in the middle anymore. I am now a person that reads when she need to. That is sad and I am ashamed to even admit it, but it is the truth. I am working on time management so I could get back into reading again.

Group Collaboration and Problem Solving

We are still working on or wiki assignment. I am trying to still get the hang of our assignment.So far I have really got to speak with one out of four of our group members. She seems really friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working. Two of them including myself have contributed to the assignment, except for one. Working with others in a group have their advantages and disadvantages. I have not really learned any problem solving techniques. I must say that I have learned to ask my team mate for her opinion on certain things regarding the assignment to be able to complete my assignment. I have learned to just ask for her opinion on my own in order to complete our tasks.

Teaching Philosophy "Blog Assingment 2"

It it my philosophy that the early years is the most important in a child development.It is my role as a future teacher, co learner and as a facilitator to provide a child with the structure they need to grow. My children will also grow by using their imagination. My job is to get to know each child individually and give them the attention and love they need to excel.

It is my main focus that my children have fun while learning.I will encourage my students to succeed. As a future teacher I would provide age appropriate material that a child can learn from. I would set a weekly goal and if that goal is meet I would provide that child with rewards. As a teacher the rewards to my students would be a getting to choose something educational from the treasure box. The learning curriculum that I would choose to follow in the classroom would vary based on the age of the child, however, I would make sure that it is age appropriate.

As a teacher it is my goal to have a low student to teacher ratio. My classroom will be based on student- centered teaching. I want my students to ask questions if they don't understand; also I would engage in conversations with my students regarding educational topics.

Technology would play a big role in my classroom. As we approach the 21st century we a using more technology. I want my kids to be able to have an awareness of how to use technology. Some of the ways that I can do this is in my classroom I would use projectors, computers, tape recorders, television, and any gadget that will help my children get familiar with the basics of technology.

Ways of Learning

The elements that learner centered instructions should contain would be to have students to relate prior experiences about relevant material. Also, try to get the students background knowledge and interest about the related topic. I am not currently teaching a course, however, if was to design a learner centered activity for a course it will be to some up with a written assignments and to have my students brainstorm ideas and use their knowledge to have them come up with a written assignment using that topic.

The elements that knowledge-centered instructions should contain would be organizing instructional activities that matches with the students likes and background. Also, it deals with encouraging students to build up a expertise for better understanding of what they need to know. Two types of assessments that should be included in assessment-centered instructions are Formative Assessment and Summative Assessment. Two two assessments are different simply because, fomative measures learning through progress in order to encourage reflection and revision, and summatives is desineg to measure the results of learning.

Community centeredness is important to the environment because it helps to develop a safe environment where students can express the opinions that might be diff rent from the ordinary. It is also beneficial because, student get feedback on what they feel is important to learn regarding the course. What types of community-centered activities have you used in the past? Personally, I cannot say that I have been involved with any community centered activities in the past. So I cannot give any examples or explain what made them community centered.

You can evaluate you own instructions when and how you feel that it will be beneficial for you to do so.If I was tecahing a class I would say that my student would become self- evaluative. The information that I have learned was very informative and beneficial. I would use this information to enhance their learning by creating learning, centered, and community based environments.

My Goals

My first goal for this course is to be able to familiarize myself with the tools that I need to succeed in this course. I would have to say that I already know how to use computers to complete the tasks that I need to complete on a day to day basis. I would love to learn more about technology and find out anything that can benefit me in advancing in the future. I have chosen these goals because as we approach the 21st century we are now more depending on technology to live our day to day lives, so I would be helpful if I could learn more
